NEED HELP FINDING SERIES

okay so years and years ago,
maybe 8 or so back,
i watched what i thought was a series on t.v
i believe it was on nickelodian
anyway
ive searched for it everywhere but i just cant seem to find it
i believe it was a digimon series, but everything i search comes up blank

what i remember of the series was that the users could turn into their digimon, or something along those lines
and at the end of the series or movie, there was this big boss fight, and i remember there being this HUGE sphere where the end battle took place in...
none of it was set in the digi world, all in the real world

ive been looking for a year now so someone help

Maybe it was Digimon Frontier? the forth Digimon series It had the "Spirit Evolutions", in which the humans can use a "D-Tector" to transform themselves into Digimon called Legendary Warriors.
