Revival of this based on something my mom said to my gramma today.
"Colin seems to be reading more lately." Gramma
"Oh that's just manga. It's all pornographic anyway." Mom
If I have one regret, it's telling my mom that Desire is mine and not lying about it being a library book.

I started with Saber Marionette J. 10 x worse than Love Hina, especially the nude scenes.
"jiggle" doesn't do it justice anymore.
yes I'm done. =)

Am I a coward for not saying that I'm an anime/manga fan to my room/floormates?

My dad is OK with the whole anime-freak thing but he says "Why can't read regular novels like other people?" I really hate that and my mom's worst! She actually threatened to throw away ALL of my manga! What a [bleep]!!!!!
Why is love not meant for me at all? Do I deserve this?

Sometimes the best thing to do is to just ignore them and buy the stuff anyways. I mean, unless they are forbidding you from reading it or something its not a big deal.

My mom was always telling me to cut back on my manga buying but she has never outright told me not to buy them. She'd always tell me that I'm wasting my money but I tell her that at least I have something to show for it. After a while she finally stopped caring whether or not I bought manga though.
I'd say, continue buying your manga but don't overdo it. Buy a few volumes at a time. Buying too much might cause your parents to complain. Hopefully, they'll get the clue that you're not going to give up on buying them and leave you alone.

Or just do as me: my dad HATEs manga, but he can't complain because of my good notes xD That's the better way to make they don't bother you XD Well my mom doesn't like a lot that I am so obssesed, but it's my life and money =D And my brother also teases, but he is my brother, so why should I listen to him?? XD
I think I don't need your light now, now I can walk by my self. Why? Because I killed your light long time ago.

It's actually pretty sad that most parents feel that way. I'm actually a 43 year old mom who loves manga and anime. My daughter got me hooked. We try to take at least one day out of the month and shop for manga together. We even watch anime together. Of course, I woudn't let her read yaoi yet because she isn't old enough, but anything else that isn't too sexually explicit is fine by me. It's sad that manga gets a bad wrap. Believe me, people my age think I'm crazy because I love it, so I guess you can't win.

I've tried showing them fluffy cutsey things, and totaly harmless manga (like stuff my seven year old cousin could read and understand) but they still think it's a waste of my money and it is moraly corrupt.
one manga was actually excepted by all parents and it was actually oh! my goddess and it still is till this day

Just do what you want anyway and hide it from your parents. Over controlling parents ftl. They will learn someday, mine realized they couldn't control me anymore at 16 and I just did what I wanted to do anyway regardless of punishment.
