Twilight (The movie? Or the Book?)
Alright....i know there is already a topic about this...but all i want is your opinion on which one to watch or read.
Truthfully, i havent watched or read it so.....yeah...like i said earlier i just want you option on which one i should read or watch.
Ive heard from many, that the book was good and the movie was dissapointing to those who have read it. Even my friends who havent read it and saw it thought the movie sucked.
At first, i wasnt at all interested in the book, now im really interested....why you ask?
because when i watched the trailer, it got interesting.....since many had said that the book was alot better, i was thinking of reading the book.
So now im stuck between watching the movie, or reading the book.....
since i cant choose both....i just wanted everyones options.

They're both mediocre, but the movie will take less time, and it's a good excuse to get out of the house.
However, since you don't have to pay for snacks and a drink with the book, it's a bit cheaper in paperback.

Neither. :]
I can't say I'm a fan of this series at all after having it shoved down my throat since it came out but the mass amounts of Edward Cullen fangirls at my old school who scorned me for saying the storyline was cliche. xDDD

Hands down, the book is better than the movie. Not to say the movie wasn't bad, but I went to see it with some people that had never read the book and they thought it was confusing. I recommend getting the book out of the library though. ^^;

Same thing here. I went to see it with my brother, and he has never read the book and he kept asking me questions all the time. it was annoying. >_<'KoYue wrote: I went to see it with some people that had never read the book and they thought it was confusing.

Re: Twilight (The movie? Or the Book?)
Twilight is complete bullshit. Vampires DO NOT shine like mutherfucking diamonds. I don't know what drugs Stephanie Meyer was on, but she needs to OD on them and die.
And I can't say I like her writing style either.
PS: You write one book. You write sequels. You can write a prequel. You do not write the same book twice from two people's point of views. That's what third person writing is for.

You forgot to make a 'neither' option.

The book is actually better than the movie because it's more detailed.
Why is love not meant for me at all? Do I deserve this?

The book isn't that great and really doesn't invole any details, other than, "they have blonde hair and are beautiful".
I mean, who thought Eric was Asian!? It doesn't tell you that he's not, but it doesn't say that he is either. Just that he's kinda a nerd (and I ended up with a picture of my nerd friend Eric to fill in the imageless description of the Eric from the book).

neither. Watch a good movie and/or read a real book.
See the Twilight threads in the manga & book/movies and television forums, because I'm not explaining why I hate the fad again.

Re: Twilight (The movie? Or the Book?)
The movie wasn't half bad. The plot was interesting but had far too many cliches. If you're interested, go see the movie. If you by some chance, like it, then go and read the book.

Re: Twilight (The movie? Or the Book?)
If you're interested in the book, dunk your face in cold water and wake up. Then go find a real vampire book (I suggest something by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes), and watch a real movie (Like... Dracula.)Mel wrote:The movie wasn't half bad. The plot was interesting but had far too many cliches. If you're interested, go see the movie. If you by some chance, like it, then go and read the book.
