In the game Rock Band is there a difference between the actual drum pads for the xbox 360 and the PS3? I have the xbox 360 version and they are quite loud when I hit them. I recently played rock band on the ps3 and there was a big difference between the two drum kits. The ps3's drum pads were softer and therefor quieter. I got to say I liked the ps3 drum kit better.

I doubt it. They both are made from the same cheap plastic material that they then sell to you at ridiculous prices.
Where did you play them? I'm thinking one had the pad covers on, which is supposed to reduce noise
