For a friend.

A friend of mine gave me inspiration for this poem. Turns out both of us are in the same boat.
Hearts are broken.
The tears unspoken.
Sorrow stirs inside,
suddenly there's no upside.
'Tis a very hard thing,
to mend a broken heart.
If only the world could just restart,
maybe then the hearts could keep apart.
Alas, even if a man could move time and space;
He would eventually have to face
the reality that is life.
Though despite the strife,
time will make hard,
the heart shall take guard.
Some still say, "Oh, there's plenty of fish"
in what must now be a petri dish.
Oh my dear friend, do not despair,
instead rebuild your castle-in-the-air.
Seek once again, both far and near,
and maybe have a beer!
But, never doubt,
and bail out.
For you see,
for love, you will just have to wait and see.
Hearts are broken.
The tears unspoken.
Sorrow stirs inside,
suddenly there's no upside.
'Tis a very hard thing,
to mend a broken heart.
If only the world could just restart,
