The quality, acting, and scenes, etc for the movie was very poor. It took at least 3/4 of the movie before we seemed to get to any of the actual action, etc.
The book on the other hand was horribly written, I must say. The writing was at the grade level of a junior high student, I hate to say it. The characters were also very undeveloped, which upon reading the book was even more of a disappointment.
Over all though, the main story plot was very interesting. It just wasn't written well and the movie wasn't directed well. Too many inportant scenes were left out.
You just spent most of your post hating on the thing, and its on your favorites? ... Why? Just why? D:
Begin rant mode here:
The main plot was the same main plot of every badly written romance in history. Girl moves to new town, meets boy, they fall in love, random crap happens, happy ending, the end. I'm disregarding the rest of the books in the series, because they just turn it into a bizarre, badly written Soap Opera.
And you know what? There were no "important" scenes cut out that would have made the movie any better. NOTHING could have made this movie better. If they cast Johnny Depp as Edward and Megan Fox as Bella, they STILL wouldn't be able to make this movie look good. Aside from the fact that no self respecting actor would EVER take a role in a movie like this.
There was no action in the movie at all as far as I'm concerned. I sat through and watched it. What might be considered "action" was a five minute scene that bordered on ridiculous. The majority of the movie is them oogling eachother in an angsty fit of stupidity.
I tried to read the book. It challenged my intelligence, and I had to put it down lest I lose any more brain cells from just touching it.
There are no vampires in Twilight, only Sparkle Fairies. There aren't werewolves either. Just Pedophilic Spacewarmers.
