I'm hoping you mean all the original movies. I didn't see the remade of Halloween, but I can't imagine it was that great. The newer Freddy and Jason movies are kinda really stupid, IMO.

Well, after Evil Dead, they knew they couldn't produce a serious horror movie. I mean, the dude attached a chainsaw to his arm!

I'd have to say the SAW series. The depth into the plot. Though, they are dragging it on a bit too far now..

Army of Darkness was, quite rightly, turned into a black comedy. Agree GG?

It was slowly travelling in that direction from Evil Dead One. A smooth transition I feel! :-k

It was a surprisingly smooth transition. If I can describe the hours I spent watching the three films, I would describe it as thus; Wuteh?LOL! :D

Yes, I find the hypocritical and racial views of the main character for the first half of the movie horrifying.
