A Rap & Hip-Hop Clan(anyone wants to join?)

Post by Joe Budden »

This is a clan about two genres, Rap music and Hip-Hop music. Talk about anything and everything of the culture and music. For example, I like Underground and Alternative Rap and Hip-Hop. But remember, please don't insult other people's opinions or other music they like. Respect other people's opinions and what they like, then you won't think about it. But remember, about what you talk about.

Shiz...I'm down. \:D/

I listen to mostly rock, but i still like good music.

My best friend likes underground hip hop...so it rubbed off.

I like me some: MF DOOM, WuTang, Quasimoto, and J-Dilla.

Thats good, Underground Rap and Hip-Hop is the real and good music right there. So is Alternative Rap and Alternative Hip-Hop. But thats good still, if you like Wu Tang, then you might wanna check out Afu-Ra and Nas. Both of those I recommend, but Afu-Ra is underground but still good. Thanks for joining!! And one last thing, I'm an underground rapper myself, and I go by the name of Stealth.(also called Turbulence)

Madlib is tight, I also recommend Atmosphere, Dilated Peoples, Dynospectrum, Company Flow, Kool Keith, Common, Dr.Octagon, Hieroglyphics, The Pharcyde, and Blackalicious. I also recommend Talib Kweli and Mos Def. Oh and heres my freestyle:Verse 1
I'm here, to save those in fear
At the light, when I travel through in night
I put up my force, put up a fight
Change things from wrong to right
Wanna be a bad guy, yeah right
Going to laugh at you, I'm a liberal
Gonna spread the truth
Defend yourself, trial of proof
Disappear when they come, poof is heard
I wanna spread my philosophy and words,
Like the spirits and birds
I'm the new hero of rap, the new hero of hip-hop
Saving you, from bottom to the top
Hang on, don't drop!!!
Wait and stop!!!!!!
I'm a legend, legacy of truth
Call me a hero,a spy/agent, not a double zero
A villain in the skies, I wear clothes in disguise
Come up from behind, with a surprise!!!

As I go further, seeking knowledge
Studying books, from school to college
Gaining the power, of a higher strength
Moving ahead to a further length
No bounds to rebounds
Karma comes around, and goes around
Intelligence and wisdom, I deny neglectifying
Lawyers and hypocrites, objectifying
Blocking the truth, to which there is no proof
Standing on top of a roof, with stacks and books
I come up with intelligent hooks, new taste to that of a cook
....(To be continued)(please tell me)

How did you like that??

It takes talent to Rap or do any music, especially freestyling. But thanks, still though, check out Atmosphere and other artists. And yep, that was Dilated Peoples. BTW, you ever listened to Cut Chemist yet??(one last thing, check out those rappers, they're all underground)

Of course it takes talent to freestyle. I know too many people who think they can.

I've heard of Cut Chemist. My friend was gonna give me a mixed cd with some of his stuff...

Instead, he lent me Madlib:The Beat Conducta Volumes 1+2 and MF Dooms' Special Herbs 1-10. So i got alotta listening to do.

The Cut Chemist CD I have is "The Audience Listening", its pretty good overall. And btw, as a career in rapping, I don't want fortune and fame, but I'm currently not signed though.(I'm from So Cal)

Yep, I also respect/listen to Dr.Dre and N.W.A. Hip-Hop and Rap is a part of my roots and culture, along with the music. But I don't diss other music or culture. I also listen to Jazz, R&B, Soul, Blues, Reggae, Dub, Dancehall, and electronic music.(Drum n bass, Techno,House) But anyways, check out the underground artists I've listed.

I don't get the chance to run out and buy CDs often (ever), but all I hear everyday is rap or Hip Hop, that's my stuff.

Favorite artists: Nas, Common, Kanye West, Gangsta L Crisis, Consequence, Lupe Fiasco, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Tupac, Jay-Z, Young Dro, T.I., Lil Wayne, Ludacris. I've only heard a couple of songs/verses from some of those mentioned, but it's enough to make me like them.

I like some of them because of the messages of their songs or the stories (Common, Nas, Kanye, GLC, Con, Lupe, TUPAC), others because of the sheer amount of solid songs they produce/produced (BTNH, Weezy, Luda)( and their lyrical versatility (Jay-Z).
