um thats not all heavy metal is..i should know its my favorite genre. and you listen to alot of it as well.

yes they are. when someone says they listen to metal they are saying heavy metal, death metal, goth metal, speed metal etc are just sub-genre of heavy metal. i've been listening to metal since i was 6 so arguing is futile.

like who? and to me its the same. by the way, just because you've listened to it a year longer doesn't mean you know all the bands that I do. Heavy and metal are the same. Death and heavy are not. I know you don't listen to death but I do. Let's just agree to disagree and be done with it. I'm too tired to argue anyway and its pointless.

My fav genres are anything metal except black metal cause I notice more of the satanic bands are part of that genre and that is not my thing. There is a couple exceptions within black metal but at the moment I can not remember.

And I love rock..except like oldies. And when I mean oldies i mean anything like 50s-70s but again theres exceptions here and there for me.

Oh and I like some pop...yes yes I like pop. Some of its catchy and fun to dance to.

I HATE RAP AND COUNTRY!!! UGH MAKES ME WANT TO VOMIT!!!

I don't know what's worse country music or when my dad sings to it!!! He makes me want to break the radio when I'm in the car with him!!!

Oh and I also love Christian rock and metal. ^^ more the metal then the rock cause Christian rock can be too soft sometimes.

lol. But seriously saying heavy metal and metal are the same is like saying rock and punk rock are the same. So you are wrong.
I love country, pop, alternative, oldies, rock, electronic, electronica, dance, industrial, the only rap I like is Eminem, and some hip-hop. I don't like to argue either but when someone says something and I know their wrong then I am gonna show them right.

I never said anything about knowing all the bands you do. It doesn't mean the metal and heavy metal are the same either. I don't listen to all the bands you listen to because I hate most of it.

My husband has also been listing to metal for 19 years and he also says metal is just short for heavy metal.

no you don't, music is my life....ask anyone who's had a conversation with me, i shove music at them every time they talk to me. I don't do anything without music.
