Tool, Rage Against The Machine, Bush, Or All Of The Above?
Tool, Rage Against The Machine, Bush, Or All Of The Above?
I have just recently started listening to Tool once more. Love 'em!!
Rage Against The Machine (i'll use RATM for short) I've loved them for a while now and being it's summer I have started to re-listen to them. Political yes, maybe, but definitely worth tuning your ears into.
Bush, as well. Same as RATM but slightly different. I only have a few (3) songs on my ipod at the moment...but I'm hoping to get more. :3
What are your opinions?

Tool, because Tool is dead sexy. And I have a Tool t-shirt, which is also dead sexy partly cause I wear it.
RAtM is alright, but I don't think they hold a candle to Tool, if you could compare them fairly that is.
Never heard of Bush

if you don't like them then, all i say is don't post?
for those of you who mock the good bands i say you're childish and immature.
for those of you who have no clue then please start listening before i kill you. ERC...especially you. You need to listen to something that isn't Queen. Although they are great, these bands, hard to say, are greater.

While I usually enforce the "Don't like them, don't post" mentality, there's nothing wrong with pointing out individual interests in music as long as it's non-offensive.
Tool was better back in the day, although Maynard James Keenans vocals really turn me off somehow. His voice is unique, although that's not always desirable.
Bush, don't know much of them besides Glycerin and The Chemicals Between Us. Decent songs, nothing that'd make me want to check them out anymore than I have already done.
Rage, classic rap metal. Good, but repetitious. Zack De La Rocha did some solo stuff that is waaay more interesting than anything Rage put out.

You want dynamic? Listen to Mammal Sauce by Crotchduster. Rap, Metal, Polka, Punk, Choir, and even a Danzig impersonation, all in one song.
Now that's a lead singer.

Bullshit. Queen is still one of the most unique, innovative bands ever, and Freddie Mercury is arguably the greatest singer of all time. Tell me one song by any of these bands that can beat "Under Pressure"Aiden wrote:You need to listen to something that isn't Queen. Although they are great, these bands, hard to say, are greater.
Anyway of the 3, Rage Against the Machine is my favorite.
In the beginning was the Win, and the Win was with Gai, and the Win was Gai.

Re: Tool, Rage Against The Machine, Bush, Or All Of The Above?
I like Queen personally, I do. But I just find all of the songs to get really old after a short period of time and really....just gay like him. I mean I not wailing on some old guy because he's gay or the music because it just sounds gay. But I guess maybe it's because I've moved on to greater accounts of music. I mean I really like Knights of the Abyss and Job For A Cowboy and The Devil Wears Prada and As I Lay Dying. I mean I'm into that hardcore [censored] that few people really listen to. I do still like listening to the older stuff from like the the whole eras 50 to 90's but I don't do it that often. I suppose I shouldn't have said [censored] about Queen because they're legendary and [censored] but I just don't care. Tool overall I think is the actually greatest out of the three bands. And if I could replace one band for another it'd be Bush for Beastie Boys.
I mean I've heard a lot more of everything than Bush, so I don't really find them hearingly attractive anymore. Just like Green Day...after their last album I just don't listen to the anymore. If they created a new album, I certainly would listen once again, even though it's still [censored].
And you made a mistake Gyro. Being that Freddie Mercury died of AIDS on Nov. 24 '91 making him like 44 when he died. So technically Freddie Mercury WAS arguably the greatest singer of all time.
