*NO YAOI HATERS* Why Sanji and Zoro make a wonderful couple!

Post by demon2010 »

Yes Yes Yes... I'm a ZoroxSanji fan (Sorry Mrs.RZ!). If there are people who HATE Yaoi... Leave this Topic. NOW!

*Sigh* Well Here are my reasons for why Sanji and Zoro are a wonderful couple:

1)They're both hard headed
2)They make one the the best fighting teams ever!
3)They are both extreamly(Sp?) Hott and would look great together!
4)Beacuse they are actually one of the most commen anime(Fantasy) couple.

AND LAST:
5)Because I say so.

^___^ Tell me what you think!

I would like to post but I'm rendered incapable because I hate yaoi.
If you're seeing this, I probably made some huge space in my message to provide comedic effect when you read the message at the end.

Because I have low self-esteem and my only way of expressing it is making sarcastic statements that fail at that purpose which make me even more depressed.

Not saying yaoi is bad, just a lot of it is fangirl fluff and whatnot. Which is a stereotype and thus, I have fallen further into a depression.

Sanji and Zoro ARE NOT a couple for several reasons:

1) Sanji CLEARLY isn't gay
2) Zoro loves only his swords (If they were men, he'd do 'em; if they were women he'd do 'em)
3) Even if they were gay, there are way too many personality contrasts between them
4) It's not what Oda-sensei intended
In the beginning was the Win, and the Win was with Gai, and the Win was Gai.

You are right L Lawliet that Sanji isn't gay, and it is so true that Zolo loves swords.
If they really were gay, there would be personality traits that could be conflictive. And for the most part, Eiichiro Oda did not make them gay, or at least Sanji, since he's flirtacious with women.
But, they have been paired up in many yaoi stories: in the states its in the form of fanfiction, often overexaggerating, and in Japan its in the form of doujinshi that range from soft gay romance to hard, fluff stories to even dark stories, with quite the drama.
I honestly think they do make a good gay couple, but they are not really a couple. It's just fiction for me. But the reasons you gave are also true, because if anyone has seen the anime and read the manga, you're reasons have evidence.

If we're talking canon - then I don't believe they're a good couple at all. They're one hell of a pair when it comes to fighting tag battles however, like in Movie 6 - the two of them destroyed a GIANT METAL DRILL-BOAT with their feet and swords, respectively.
But Oda didn't intend the story for Yaoi. Shonen readers don't really read for Yaoi, as I've noticed.

I know lots of girls who go balistic over the two of them as a couple; and in the subject of crack - I find it hilarious. Scenario's where Sanji sneaks up behind an unsuspecting "Nami" with her hair wrapped in a towel to give her a sudden kiss - only to discover that it is in fact Zoro - and gets completely clobbered as a result.
THAT I find hilarious.
(I just made that scenario up - STEAL AND DIE)

But as 'fluff' or 'shonen-ai' - it's out of context and character. Mainly because Zoro is involved - an he's not a very "Fluffy" kind of character; even if he was paired with a woman.
Sanji is a fluff sort of character - but because of Zoro the pairing wouldn't match. Sanji with Luffy, fluff can happen. Sanji with (God forbid) Usopp, fluff can happen - Sanji with ANY women - Fluff happens.

Yaoi however - means smexy time.
Sanji and Zoro? Smexy time...?

NOT GONNA HAPPEN - UNLESS you happen to be the world's best canon-defying writer in the entire solar system.
Even then; you're going to get a lot of fangirls on either end who may even like yaoi chasing after you with pitchforks.

Canon is god in the realm of fanfiction. As Yaoi falls under fanfiction -it falls under canon.

To shove my entire crap of a post aside - my answer is no.
(I can like Yaoi - but only if I can see it happening)

I am a fan of Yaoi but I just can't picture Zoro and Sanji together....to me that pairing just seems wrong.

Like I already said, they do look like a good couple, but as I already said Sanji is too straight. However Zolo could work in a yaoi, but like Yami Haga-Ryuzaki said, Zolo is not fluff. I could picture him in a dramatic or even dark yaoi, but I can't picture him getting all lovey-dovey, kissy-kissy with anyone. I guess it really depends on one's opinion. Just for the record though, I do like yaoi. 8)

both are straight as a board.

I actually really hate it when Yaoi fangirls take my favorite characters and turn them gay.

If I wanted to watch Yaoi I'd watch an actual Yaoi or Shounen-Ai show

Zolo is my all time favorite character and to think of him as gay is just too stupid for words.

I already said I like YAOI but i HATE it when people take regular anime characters and turn them gay.

When I want Yaoi I'd watch like Sensative Pornagraph or Gravitation
