Orihime is weak. Aizen forced her to join his side because he thought her powers would ultimately help him gain more power efficiently.

Her power is boring. Thats that. And there isn't that much that is special about her. I like her as a character though. Not every character has to be special in a certain way, that would just make having multiple characters pointless and boring. Each of them would be strong in a different way, and it would just make the show uninteresting. So if you were looking for a reason for her to be special, here it is, she is (one) of the eye candy's in Bleach. thats that. (If this wasn't what you were after, sorry) And, if you think that every character has to be special, stop, its silly to do that. Some characters are just there to be there. Not trying to be rude, if it came across like that, sorry.

Everyone has their opinions, and I have mine. Orihime may not have special powers, but I think she is a good character personality wise. Sure, she has a big bust, but so did Naga from Slayers. Orihime may be a ditz, but out of the many great anime I've seen, there aren't that many ditzes, so that, in a way, does make Orihime unique. And if anyone has seen the episodes, or read the part in the manga, where Ichigo, Uryu, Chad, and Orihime go to the Soul Society to save Rukia, she was willing to go and help free Rukia-in the beginning. For some, she may be eyecandy, like Hallow Ichigo and Legato Bluesummers, but at least she does have a good personality. I actually like her better than Sakura from Naruto. Sure, compared to maybe Faye Valentine of Cowboy Bebop, Orihime looks like a little girl. But she is a nice character. And besides, Tite Kubo is the one who created her, it was his idea to make her that way. It is unknown whether he created her to be loathed or loved or either way, it all depends on one's own opinion. Not everyone will agree with me that Orihime is a good character, and not everyone will agree that Orihime is a pest.
