‘Hello everyone. You all know me as Captain Jack Sparrow and I want to become a moderator for the following reasons:’
I like the intro, it’s clear and it gets things across, I hate when people try to be informal and they go over the top and they start using posh words which some people don’t under stand.
‘I have been a member of absolute anime for a decent amount of time and I know my way around the website.’
‘I am the kind of person that is approachable, that will talk to someone about almost anything and form friendships with newly met people.’
I have seen this in the chat, because I was talking to you about your avatars.
‘No one is above or below anyone and every user should be treated the same way with respect and kindness at the same time.’
That’s good that you see this, and it’s quite a bit point in being a Moderator. It comes in to play when you are trying to split an argument with two or more people.
‘I recently returned to the website and anime forums and have decided to become active when visiting here.’
That’s a good goal to set if you want to be a good moderator.
‘I will use proper grammar when posting or chatting.
I will use proper grammar when posting or chatting.
I would see to that what is right is right and what is wrong is wrong.
I will settle any debacle or disputes between users if it gets out of hand.
I would gladly help anyone with any of their doubts or problems in the anime forums.
I realize (And have no problem with it), that I will lose some of my privileges.
I understand and will fulfill to be more caring and respectful towards all the users.
I will behave well to set a good example for the site.
I'd happily welcome new users when he or she arrives to the website or anime forums.’
You know all what a fine moderator needs to know and dose. So far I think you will be a very good Moderator because you also seem to be calm.
‘I am not perfect. Just because I am a moderator does not mean I am always right. I admit that I’ve made mistakes just like anybody else but from what I do wrong, I learn how to improve.’
Good that you know this, because quite a few Moderators don’t seem to get it, they think because they are Moderators they can walk over other people and that they know every thing.
‘I will take all the advice and suggestions with the upmost respect from any moderator and improve my way of being a moderator.’
Yeap, watch how others do it and gain experience.
‘Whatever opinion or comment you have about me or about the way if I have been acting out of hand as a moderator in any way I will gladly take full responsibility for it not taking it personal and apologize for my actions.
Finally, when you vote, I would gladly listen to the reason why you chose to vote that opinion, do not hold anything back. I would happily accept any of your comments regarding this moderator application with a calm, positive attitude and with my full respect.’
I see, I think this application is good; people on this site seem to think that being a Mod is really hard, when really it’s quite easy. So people make a big thing out of it saying stuff like oh you missed this that and the other, this shows enough. Once you become a Moderator you’ll learn more and become a better Moderator then you started of as. (I haven’t seen the votes yet though.) You could have a load of ‘No’s but they could be all from haters that are jealous and they haven’t really read the posts at all. I know a few who do that. But then again I can be bad some times for only reading the application.
Any enough of me going on about stuff witch soon going off topic. I vote ‘Yes’ because I think you will be a good friendly mod. I hope you good luck, it may be a while before the webmaster comes around though.
Oh and it would be also good to talk about what Moderator experience you have had.
