My Moderator Application: SASSZAIN

Post by SASSZAIN »

Hello. My name is SASSZAIN, and I would like to be a Mod here on AA. I have been a part of AA for almost 4 months. I am not afraid to ask for help if I cannot handle a certain situation.

I am Patient and not easily angered. When I see someone doing something they shouldnt, I am not afraid to confront them.

I am on AA around 5 hours a day, and am deticated to doing my best on a task. I try my best to be kind and considerate of others when posting, however, when I find that I have offended someone I am quick to appoligize.

I have a very good knowledge of the rules, and i do my best to follow them as well. I understand the responsibilities that being a Mod include. I realize that being a mod is a lot of work, and I am ready for the experiance.

I would like to be a Mod on AA because I love the site, and want to be a part of the administration. I have alway had an intrest in the web and the aspects of administrating. I know that being a mod means that I am a role model for the other members. I know that as a mod I will be expected to conduct myself in a professional manner. With this I realize that my posts will have to be more restricted and well thought out. I know that being a mod is a priviledge, and as all priviledges are, it is capable of being revoked. As a mod I will check posts for being off topic, for being appropriate, and for spamming. I will go through the proper proceedures to handle situations. As a mod I will conduct myself accordingly.

I am currently a Mod on a small forum called Neonology. While at neonology I have helped Neonology to grow. Neonology has also had a few trouble makers and they where delt with swiftly and fairly.

Finnaly I would like to thank all the current Mods for their great work on AA and the help they have given me. I look forward to being a part of your team. Thank you.

A link to Neonology is in my signature.

Hmm. Good application. Best one I've seen, I read it all the way through, not really a negitive opinion from me as far as I'm concerned. Though, I think that I'll give it more scrutinization before I state my final conclusion.

Well, I went to that message board. You are a Mod there. And I also checked out your post history, ZAIN, and it seems like you're a very stable person. You don't get angry, you post respectfully and optimisticly, which gives proof to what you said in your topic post. Unfortunately, I only read about 6 pages of your history, and I didn't see you make any sort of mod-like post, but all the same, you seem to be telling the truth so I believe that you do have some experience of moding threads.

There's only one thing I need to know: Are you knowledgeable enough to explain things in a simplistic manner, but at the same time, in detail? An example would be explanation to a newbie; can you explain something to him/her in a manner that they can understand, but in the same manner, be able to explain everything that they need to know?

You're dedicated and mature, but are you knowledgeable enough? Being a mod, you can not only be knowledgeable in the rules, but in many other aspecs as well.

If you can prove to me, that, then I'll give my 99.9% yes.

Though I am not a mod I can still give my opinions.

Your a good person on AA and I've also seen the message board. Your an active stable person who has complete control over your own temper, and like Shinmeiryuu said, you post respectfully and optimisticly,

First I'd like to thank all of you guys for your support.

Second, Shinmeiryuu, you do make good points. to your question :Are you knowledgeable enough to explain things in a simplistic manner, but at the same time, in detail?:
Yes. I do beleive that I am capable of this. I am a logical thinker. i think through a problem and come up with the best solution based on the information I have been given. I am fully capable of telling a newbie, for example, how to perform any task that they might have. An example might be changing your username. I would tell them to first click on their name at the top of the Index page. Then to highlight their name and to change it to whatever it is that they want to be called. Then I'd tell them to push submit. I'd also tell them beforehand that they would not be able to change thier name for seven days after changing.
I apoligize if this is too lengthy. I hope that this is to your satisfaction, Shinmeiryuu.

Again I would like to thank you all for your support.

That is by far one of the best applictions I've read so far. Your consistency and thoroughness is merit quality for the moderator title. I hope you will become a moderator, and look forward to potentially having you on the moderator team. ^_^

I vote "Yes."

Good application, atleast you took your time making one unlike all other latest applications. You had some small spelling errors and such but not very much. Good reasons and enough experience I guess. But i'd ofcourse like to talk abit further with you just to get to know you to see how you think. You're also active alot and thats good. Well...For now, no opinion but i'll come back with my answer sometime later.
