which do you like more the original stand alone complex or the 2nd gig, and why

Tell me Nana, why isnt forgetting about our mistakes and wounds enough to make them disappear? Even now I keep calling your name. Despite my pain, I'll keep on doing that until you answer me.

I prefer the 2nd Gig.

It seemed much darker and closer to reality. The 1st gig was sillier in some ways, like Motoko wearing hardly any clothes most of the time.

None the less I still love the 1st gig.

I loved the limited clothes lol

But I thought 2nd gig had a better, more captivating story

The lack of clothes did add a sexy factor. 8)

Although I love the laughing man plot line, I still prefer the individual plot line.

Kuze is the greatest "bad guy" ever. 8)

That reminded me of a a picture you see in the 1st gig of Batou and Motoko with a child.

That has never been answered as far as I know.

The end of 2nd gig was sad....

Kuze was the boy that the major knew from the hospital (the one that was making the cranes for her) It was so sad, Kuze spent his whole life searching for the major and he died without ever knowing it was her. The major on the other hand knew it was him from the hospital but she failed to save her 1 true love......it was so sad.

Its possible Kuze was able to finish his plan and upload his and the dead refuges ghosts onto the net. As that was his plan all along. Judging by his turns of fraze I am assuming he managed it.

I'm guessing that too. Also at the end Motoko seemed not quite like herself
I can't compare the two honestly enough because it seemed like they were trying do two different things.

So once we get a third or if we get a third, I don't remember what the status of that is, then I'm sure we could compare the second and third one.

But the first one was sorta general as it seemed to be introducing the series to a larger audience while 2nd gig seemed focused on telling a story.

The Laughing Man was awesome though.
Yeah, you were right about me, but can I get myself out from underneath this guilt that will crush me? in the choir, I saw our sad Messiah he was bored and tired of my laments
He said, "I died for you one time, but never again"

The laughing man was really awesome yeah 8)

I have a real soft spot for the "bad guys" in both Gigs. Well their is a sorta 3rd gig, which is the movie Solid State Society set, I believe, a year after the events of the 2nd Gig.

I preferred the 1st one. The laughing man was simply awesome, and the whole story was greatly managed.
The 2nd gig is awesome too but, to me, a little bit under the 1st one.

They are quite hard to compare at time, but for me the 2nd gig will always have just been slightly better. I also feel the soundtrack for the 2nd gig was even better than the 1st.

1st gig. I especially like the 'Laughing Man' episode and the one where one of the Tachikomas escape and meets a sweet little girl! x3 (episode 12)

Great music soundtrack.

Do you prefer the main theme to the first gig or the second gig?
