não, é afrikaans (derivado do holandês com influências das línguas indígenas, malaia e inglês)

a bit, but only because of prounonciation and vocabulary, grammar is pretty simple.

You should teach me Portuguese, Rin.
I keep brushing up on my Spanish lately for some reason. It's been a long time since I had Spanish classes.

What is Afrikaans closest to? German?

I fell behind in my Korean and Mandarin studies, but I'm still determined to get there.

And someday, I'll pick back up on Swahili, Arabic, German and Hungarian, so I can say more than random things.

Yeah, I could try to teach you some portuguese... I'm not very good at that, but I could try though. XDD

I started studying korean a few months ago, but because of school and stuff, I wasn't able to study it for about 3 months.. now I forgot almost everything I knew XDD I remember how to read a few things, but I'm sooo slow.. XDD Next year I'll study it seriously. XDD

Dreams-me and AnitaGuida can teach you portuguese if you want.

And afrikaans is derived from deutch with native african, malaian and english influences. (its pretty easy though)

Well, brazilian portuguese and portugal's portuguese are perfectly understandable between each other but for someone foreign....
