Whats your pick of E3 2009?
Incase you are under a rock, E3 Expo 2009.
I was not aware that a new AVP was being made and was amazed at the gameplay. Also L4D2 and AC2.
So many other come to mind but those are what struck me.

Tell me Nana, why isnt forgetting about our mistakes and wounds enough to make them disappear? Even now I keep calling your name. Despite my pain, I'll keep on doing that until you answer me.

No one's mentioned the new Sin and Punishment?

E3 was such a horrible failure.
The only thing that remotely got my attention was Sin and Punishment 2. Because fighting a planet while standing on a planet, all the while deflecting the other planet's massive amount of projectiles is insanely awesome.

Re: Your Pick of E3 2009
IMO...although there isn't really anything exactly "new" in concept...i'd have to side with developers...they can do as much market research as they want but it takes something fun to click with people...there might not be somethign that is new in concepts...and everything might seem similar in look and feel but it's hard to completely think of something new that will be able to sell, expecially in this day and age of "better graphics = the better game" (which isn't the case)
the demand for better graphics, better realism, etc. etc....and that most of the time lowers down fun factor or gameplay or even the replayability. if they want it to be a succesful company games must be marketed at the right time and meet the amjourity of players wants and needs and in the eyes of the target age group they are succeeding. they're there to make money and maybe that's the difference between designers and modders but i can somewhat sympathizes with the people doing the work...beta testing is by far a less stressful job compared to the actual programming and designing...
for some people E3 wasn't a horrible failure, for me i've been out of the gaming loop for a while, sticking with Fallout 3 and some FTP MMO's for over half a year, this was...enlightening tbh, and it's been an over all successful showcase...but that's just my perspective ^_^
