Time Guardian Miu

Post by skittleschan »

I recently came across an old manga at a secondhand bookstore named "Time Guardian Miu" and it was decent enough that I wanted to find the next in the series.

It only had 2 volumes ever, and the first volume I got for 4 dollars at Half Price Books-- the second is almost 2k on Amazon. THAT'S INSANE RIGHT??? Like holy COW!!!!!! The second volume isn't translated anywhere online either, which makes this manga even more mysterious to me.

Anyway, the manga was alright. The premise is a girl accidentally opens an alleyway to a "Time Shop" where a guy sells time to people (to stop it, to add it on to a date, or to even make two copies of yourself) in exchange for memories. I liked the plot just fine, and the art was alright, but oh my GOD the main character (Miu) was kinda awful ? ? ?

She more or less forced situations to happen within the manga rather than allowed the characters she was helping to realize their mistakes on their own. I was just a little shocked at how badly she was written in that regard.

Has anyone ever read it? If so, have you read the 2nd volume too? What'd you think?

(I'd post a pic here but AA doesn't allow for external links )':)
