Lessons number 1!
Re: Lessons number 1!
Oh dear...
Good morning = ohayoo gozaimasu
Good night = oyasuminasai
Those were greetings ^
Peace = heiwa
Eyes = me (yaki tamago is pretty much "fried eggs")
Beautiful = kirei (na makes it an adjective for "pretty", or "beautiful" if you will)
Those were pretty much singular words ^
She = kanojo
They = karera
Me = watashi/watakushi
You = anata (wa), kimi (NOTE: omae is a rude form of "you" along with anta, which would be the equivalent tone of "you bastard..." and the likes)
Right now, I can't recall how one would use anatagata, but it is a plural, that I know.
If you would like to give some lessons, maybe you should explain the use of sentence particles and maybe know the ways of writing, or at least in roomaji perhaps? And there's also a thread in this forum that gives the basics of forming simple sentences.

But Ryukon already mentioned that one.

Re: Lessons number 1!
It's actually "otaku", no joke, but people don't really say this because it is so polite it sounds sarcastic, generally in Japanese when you are referring to someone else you will not say "you" as such, but simply use honorifics, but if you wanted to be polite and say "you" one normally use "anata"Inuyasha-sama wrote:what's the politest way to say "you"?

Re: Lessons number 1!
when you say oyasuminasai means goodnight, do u mean as in you're going to bed "good night" or a greeting when its night time?
plus, just in case it was a type, the good morning Ohayo is really ohayoo with two O's at the end, correct?
thanks!

Oyasumi nasai is something you'd say when you're leaving for the night, or going to bed. That kind of "good night".
Technically, ohayou・おはよう has an OU at the end. While some Japanese words with long O sounds are actually written OO, they're mostly written OU. However, it depends on how you choose to romanize. I like to stick with what's literally written in kana, but a lot of people change all OUs into OOs. Etc.
