I was reading that part last night.

She said, "Is it really that interesting? Maybe I'll go watch it . . ." Poor Yugi. I wonder if Anzu did watch it.

So all of you're are saying that it's so lame coz of 4kids?? Then I guess I'll have to watch Yu-Gi-Oh in japanese next time.. figures 4kids.. aren't those the ones who messed up Naruto as well?

4kids screwed up a lot of the anime. They removed Yugi's mother, They butchered the Doma Duelist's backstories and also made things make less sence.

They wanted it to appeal to children so their parents could be buy them dumb little toys.

Actually I tend to think they appeal to parent's ideas so they don't [censored] to the company about inapproprate content.

Then I don't think they did such a good job. Parents in my town were actually complaining that they thought it was too violent and such and that it corrupted little kids. But that may have been more the fault of the card game than the actual anime. Little kids would get into so many fights over those cards.

It's like with pokemon cards. I read once in the newspaper that a kid attacked another kid with a knife coz he wanted to have his pokemon card. This kind of stuff really freaks me out. I mean are these kids obssesed or what?? And I think it's totally unfair that the parents blame it on animes. I mean they should raise their chlidren better. Plus I bet they see more violence and blood in an action film with Bruce Willis so there's no point in blaming animes. And what's with the cutting and changing. Till now I didn't even know that Yugi's mom was alive!! How does she look anyway? Damn that 4Kids!

I saw her in the manga once . . . she was small with short hair and she smacked Yugi with a spatula.

I was wondering where Yugi's mother was in the anime, it didn't make too much sence that he lives above a cardgame store (i think..) Unfortunately, i dont have a decent Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged quote DX or wait.. nope. I dont. XD

I wondered where both his parents were.

I thought they were dead or something.

I thought the original japanese anime had a better plot line than the 4kids version. And, the girls kicked butt slightly more often than in the 4kids version (where they hardly kick butt at all... oh well, that's what fanfiction is for!).
The only change I was actually ok with was turning Seto Kaiba into a Bishie (no offense, the hideous green hair and golden eyes gave me nightmares, jk). I mean, who doesn't like Bishies?
But, I've always wondered WHY they turned him into a Bishie...
Any thoughts on that?
Thanks!
