Your employee appreciation week happens at the same time as ours?! :0
Book conspiracy!

We get 40% off everything, in store and on the website.
(Except we only get 25% DVDs from the website, as opposed to 40% off DVDs in the store.)

I already ordered a couple things for myself, and a couple Christmas gifts. Even though it left me with about $50 in my account, it was too lovely to pass up.

There are quite a number of new reviews on Amazon USA and UK now. I'm happy to say that they are generally very positive, although I did recently hear from someone in Denmark who didn't like the book at all! Actually I feel really bad when that happens as I obviously want anyone who takes the time to read the book to enjoy it. But I have come to realise that The Magic Lands is a novel that has a certain kind of appeal. Because it's surreal, quite dark at times and has a strong spiritual dimension (it's been called eveything from Christian to Pagan so far!!) this could put some people off, particularly as it starts out seemingly as a children's fantasy adventure story. Hope to hear what a few of the people on this forum think of the book soon!

Hi Mel,

If you check out the link it will tell you more! Hope it catches your interest. Or you could check out the reviews on Amazon. That would give you a good idea of what kind of book it is.

I wanted to know what YOU thought the book was about. Thus my reason for speaking up here instead of going to look.

You want me to tell you what I intended when I wrote it? Well, that could mean a very long piece of author self-indulgence :) But to keep it simple, I think the book is about the loss of innocence and the importance of sacrifice and redemption.

Hope that helps!!
