I'm not sure if I would call it an anime mainly for the content level age-wise. When I think of anime I think of shows that you wouldn't want to show little kids. Like Inuyasha were there is a bunch of violence and cussing. The same goes for Yu Yu Hakusho where there are a bunch of cussing and obscene gestures or Outlaw Star where there is a bunch of cussing and sexual theme (Now don't get me wrong I LOVE those shows and all their obsceneness :) ) But Avatar just doesn't have that adult feeling I get from anime.

i was watching YuYu Hakusho when i was 6 and Evangelion, Bubblegum Crisis (don't let the name fool you), Ronin Warriors, Gundam F91, Battle Angel Alita, Ninja Scroll, Tenchi Muyo, Dirty Pair, Devil Hunter Yohko all before 1995 (10 years old) and I turned out great. lol

I don't care if it's anime or not just the fact that it has good action in it.
