My favourite classic novel would probably be "Rebecca" by Daphne du Maurier... or maybe "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen.
My fave modern book? I like the Bridget Jones Diaries by Helen Fielding and "Things My Girlfriend And I Have Argued About" by Mil Millington is also a really funny book.
As for Harry Potter. Well I think the actual plot/idea is great- suitable for everyone, but J.K Rowling's writing techniques aren't brilliant.
Really I'll read pretty much anything because I love books... and I cannot believe I have just written that.
