people need sometihng to fear in order to have a reason to do right, and others see it as a way to gain power, for all we know and/or care, what-her-name said jezuz was the savoir and she was a virgin because i think it was illegal to have kids without marrage back then or something. and others used this to gain power, and the bible COULD be nothing more then a collection of stories, used by people without power to make a life for themselves, notice, i dont think anyone in the bible "touched by god" was really powerful, until they came up with that...

and jesus only said that he would die for the sins of humanity so ppeople would follow him more, instead of turning away because they felt it was unrealistic

and every time god appered in a physical form, it was to one or only a few ppl, they could have just desided to make it up

and satan? who says satan is real? i mean, god is "all-mighty" right? satan is imaginary, and what kind of dumb [censored] desides to think-up some ultimate evil stronger or as strong as "god"? i mean, hes just a fallen angel, they are both made up, and obviously these people make up the idea of god being able to destroy satan, which means they imagine the "all-mighty, all-powerful" sprital lord "god" as not the most powerful, or most mighty...

also, this means, god could be just as evil as satan, or they are both neutral, cause god is threatening "be good, and hed my word or go to hell, follow my ways, or go to hell" dealing in absolutes, this is in no way a utopia vision, and im sure by now, u can see how people would rush to the spot to use this to manipulate and control the weak minded fanatics, whom believe to follow the "prist or pristess" because they speak the word of god and if they dont follow them and god, they go to hell, this is a way of controling those unable to handle several philosiphys, feel they need a reason to live, need something to be devoted to, lack the will or ability to live by themselves and rely on a "greater power", or numorous other reasons

in MY belife, at the moment, we are the gods, we are not all mighty, but like some religions, there are sometimes hundreds, or like even hindu, millions of gods, meaning each and everyone is meant to affect ONE thing, like war, love, peace...

but what if we ARE the gods? are we not? we control the world we call earth, we have so much more power then the other races, and we have unlimited control, we are the gods and goddess of earth in a way, and each and every one of us is the god or goddess of a specific event or consept, it may be something as small as our every day job, each and every small job helps the big corps and companies change and influance the world, or something great, like that guy who won the medal of honor in WWII, he had killed over a thousand people and captured an entire army if im not mistaken......

in a way...we ARE the gods, and to look up to something that for all we know, isnt even there, just because we cant stand to do what were are suposed to our selves, is just pathetic!

No, it wasn't illegal. Her husband was going to ditch her because he found out she was pregnant. THEN, if i'm correct god told her husband not to cause shame on her family or his that it was the holy ghost who impregnated her and that she was still a virgin.

the 10 plagues of egypt
raining rocks
flooding the Fertile Valley, which now makes up part of the middle east (not the whole world, as is commonly believed)
the list goes on.
the most obvious example would be jesus. nowadays, most "miracles" are written off as science, which it probably is.
