What the hell? That's ridiculous to charge actual money. I think it should cost 100 posts or something like that.

It isn't ridiculous at all. The fee isn't that much anyay. It's fair. The Webmaster has a lot of projects going on outside of AA. This website is just his hobby. It makes sense for there to be a fee for him to perform labor. He is taking his own time to perform a service. And your dollar would (most likely) go towards AA itself. The Webmaster takes money out of his own pocket to buy servers, etc... This isn't Gaia where we could use gold. The Webmaster (and Theo) devote time and money--without asking anything from us. All he is asking for is just a simple buck and he'll change your name. It's just that simple. And believe me. If my paycheck was more (which it should be around Nov.) I'll be donating. Hurray for tax write offs!

It made it hard for users like me to see who was who. And as a Moderator, I could ban someone by mistake because they could have the same names. It just makes it easier for everyone in general.

Indeed, I do agree with that. People constantly changing their usernames confused me.

..and because now you have to pay for your name change, less people are going to do it. It does make the whole system a lot more decent and easy.

Amray: well just the fact users can't change their name at will (unless paying for it) makes it much more easier.

I can see what you all mean, maybe that's why he stopped it in the first place.
But it's a bit on fair to the people who only change their name like once a year, because of people who change it ever week.
