I guess when it comes to the end it is whether you have the courage to accept and have faith. You can find much about yourself in this situation.
Thx for everything Kyo.

I think that I am far more courageous. I accept and put a great deal of faith into the fact that when I die; when my friends die; when any human being dies - we rot and cease to exist.

How does belief in ceasing to exist take courage? If you are completely gone, it's not like anything will matter. It's not like your consciousness will be floating in a void of nothingness. That could be better than living, to an extent, since you have absolutely no troubles or anything to worry about. The ultimate peace. Then again, having faith in the afterlife doesn't take much courage either. It is comforting to an extent, but then you must have the integrity and courage to live a good life, which kind of evens it all out. Just depends on what you believe. Right now, I'm trying to decide which one I believe most in and then try to live my life by that. But whether or not I end up how I was before conception or go to Heaven/Hell, I'm not too worried or scared about it. And I can't see how anyone has to be courageous to decide on either one.

I don't think that either takes courage. XD
I was just making the point that I don't feel that believing takes courage. A good deal of people say they believe just to cover all bases.

What I meant was (I cant beleive I have to explain this) the courage and faith to accpet whatever you decide is the afterlife...

As for me, in my heart, God existed in the past.
You guys are not going to convice me that he's an unreal person.

He's real in my instincts
You can say I'm too religious to believe in him

hm......all these are excellent thoughts on faith and religion.
Mine-
I believe that everyone is correct, up until they say someone else is wrong. Faith i a personal way some decides to have, in order to deal with life. Some people find comfort in believing that an all knowing being created everything, and has a plan for everyone. Others feel that they do not need to believe in such a being, because they have coped with the idea that after death, your mind is gone. Either one is correct, because neither one can be proven. Thus they are just ideas that have grown into followings. As soon as someone states that another religion is wrong, or puts down someone because of what their religion state, then they are wrong. You may think that your religion is correct, but since it doesn't apply to another persons mind, then it may not be correct for them. They must find their own faith, be it in science, themselves, God or any of the other types.
On the subject on whether i believe in God or not, i don't. I have thought it through and after many events decided he isn't here. That is my personal belief though, so continue with the discussions.
