Well yeah I dont know I had a side of me that really wanted to see Yami Yugi lose

If you're talking about the card game, normally 2, but because of Kaiser Sea Horse's ability, you only need to tribute it.

Plus there are countless ways to special summon it without any tribute eg. flute of summoning dragon

i got one if Legendary Fisherman is in defense mode and Umi is on the field can u attack directly to ur oppenetts life points?

No you couldnt attack at all unless you had a monster that had the ability to attack directly (like raging flame sprite).
Legendary Fisherman only stops himself being attacked while Umi is on the field so any other monsters could be attacked. If the Fisherman was set (in face down defence position) you could attack it.

not from wat i seen because i remember when my sis enter a tourment when i had my Fisherman in defense mode well Umi was on the field they said that u can attack directly to ur openetts life points
