Lets hope that the U.K. only employs limited use of the death penalty.
[censored]. I slept in. [censored] John Howard should impose sanctions on Singapore. UGH

The man who was hanged had no previous criminal record, and was forced into smuggling drugs into Australia by a crime syndicate. Singapore has the law that if you try to smuggle in X amount of herroine you are automatically sentenced to the death penalty.

^ that is the sort of primitive law; abd form of execution that should NEVER happen.

Your exactly right Locke. The other thing is this guy was doing this to get money to pay off his brother's debt. Im not saying this justifies his actions, but is it really the actions of a man who deserves to die??? Clearly not.

Its very sad because i have been to Singapore and i loved the country. Clean, well maintained, but now its just too risky to go there. If you have chewing gum, i think its 10 lashes. Certainly is if u throw paper on the ground. In the end its only going to hurt the tourism of these countries, as aussies will have no problems boycotting them, just like Bali.

Personally I think the prospect of death should be given to murders of anykind, rapests and child abductors.

Unfortunately its not just a clear-cut case of eye for an eye. Families and friends of deceased are handed life sentences. Why shouldnt their pain be vindicated?

In the end, its a real double-edged sword and just a moral impossibility. No human has the right to decide on the fate of another's life, so if Britan was to introduce it, even just for murderers and the such, it would be difficult to decide if its really best for its society.

I think I kinda..Actually..Holy [censored] I agree with you.

they find the man in a hole and they take him in..to our couintry arms to find what's best for him and his trial?? What about what's good for us? Who the [censored] gives a [censored] about the best way to take care of the man. He caused so much strife and anger and deaths..hundreds...thousands.

I think the man should have a cement block around his neck and at the bottom of the ocean with the Titanic.
