When i saw him die i was so shocked. i don't really watch fma but it was really sad

Eh, I was upset when Ed died (though at least he's alive now, even if he is on the other side of the gate,) but I wasn't in tears (which shocked me.) It just made me realize that, in anime, never assume a character is too important/liked not to be killed off. The writers will do it just to spite you.

That being said, I have to comment that his death was a tad cheesy. He got offed by a homonculus of his father's love child (i.e. his half brother,) through and controlled by the woman who's not only Envy's mother, but his master. Very soap opera. Though, didn't Envy say in the beginning he couldn't remember what he looked like? Maybe that was just in the manga. Anyway, rant aside. I hated Ed getting offed (especially like that,) even though I'm more attached to Riza Hawkeye and Roy Mustang.

episode 50, Ed dies. Envy kills him by jesting his arm through Ed's chest when he is stunned by Envy's true form.

Don't retell how that horror happened. it's just so sad, shocking, scary.
