isnt it a beautiful morning? / i watched the croatia vs Australia..... and guess what?.... thats right! Australia is through to the 2nd round. it was an exciting game for those who didnt watch it they came into a draw 2 all but it was basically a win for australia... after 32 years they're playing in the top 16!!!!! next objective is Italy... they'll win for sure!!!! / You guys have to watch it, its on monday

i know what you mean, i waited a lifetime for USA to get in the round of 16 and they did finally last world cup, not to mention beating rival Mexico. it was a great feeling

today is the Italy vs Australia game!!!
im so excited!!! but harry kewell might not play and he's one of the best players!!! but maybe they can pull it off somehow
but its on at 1 am so.... go Australia!!!!!

Socceroos were robbed!
all the aussies i think would agree that the penalty goal given to the italians was riduculous and an outrage!
i mean the ref gave it 10 seconds before full time, and even then it was no where near a penalty goal!
Australia would've won in the extra time. everyone thought it would go to extra time.
i am just so angry. its a bullcrap way to get out of the world cup. it was brutal. and its so sad that Guus Hiddink is leaving australia for russia, he showed us to love soccer.
but any how australia did brilliantly none the less. they made us prud. if it wasnt for that bad call. the dream would live on.
my campaign has ended with the socceroos. so im not watching it anymore but i want Brazil to take it.
its a sad day but well done to the socceroos for getting that far. they are the best team! the most spirited! (sob sob)

i agree. no offence to any italians on this board, but your football team are cheating [super-mega-ultra censorship] i saw that penalty kick, or rather, HOW the penalty was awarded, and, THE ITALIAN PLAYER KNOWINGLY RAN OVER THE AUSSIE PLAYER. it was a f**king dive. and the ref gave it anyway. dives should go punished, not rewarded. i wanted Aus to win. they deserved it.

*sigh* Ghana lost 3-0 to Brazil. I knew Ghana wasn't going to beat Brazil but at least they had a good run. Hopefully Ghana will improve in the near future and become a formidable team.
