Yes, the manga is still going but the series is gone. They made like 6 movies for AFTER the series...

And yes...the MANGA and the ANIME are COMPLETELY different! I have a friend who has about every single manga of InuYasha and I read most of them and most of the stuff that happened in the manga NEVER happened in the series or movies....sooooooo,
