The third owner of the Mangekyo Sharigan is kakashi, he obtains it during the timeskip
I mean it was revealed that he was an Uchiha and that he has the power of Madara Uchiha as well.
I think thats something that no one saw coming.
And plus adds to the fact that the TObi -- Obito belief may be true.

I say that it maybe true as I have seen a moment in a Japanese only game opening "Naruto Shippuuden" THe fighting game.
ANd in the opening for a split second, we see the orange faced figure of tobi with a huge Sharingan over his head. Then it quickly zooms out and shows a ninja standing there to face him. I noticed that the ninja himself was Kakashi.
So I believe that its true in the fact that the people creating the games might have more knowledge of the Naruto future than we think.
