The guy's a samuri! a ninja show's no idenity. He's alot stronger than people realize. The guy nearly took out synoskay. Sorry if I spell his name wrong.
Anyway he fought in war I don't replie a ninja fighting in war.

He was also sent on assasin missions when he was a kid, i dont recall samurais ever doing that.
Kenshin is just a random warrior who carries a sword, he's not a ninja or a samurai.

Kenshin is neither. Samurai means "one who serves" (a lord), which Kenshin does not. A samurai also would not mind killing if it is in the name of his lord; Kenshin vows never to kill no matter what. Also, he just isn't a ninja.

He is just a swordsman who wonders around (ronin) protecting the innocent.

That's not true because there was a samurai named synskoi that wanted to kill him at first.

ok I'll add in my 2 cents to this ok here we go Kenshin is neither as we all know a Samurai or Ninja all he is a warrior or I should a swordsmen who is a wander who use to be a man slayer who used Hiten Mitsurugi-ryu (Heaven Flight Holy Sword Style) battoujutsu (the art of sheathing one's sword before attacking) and mastered his style of battoujutsu which is where he got the title Battousai The Man Slayer, and then of course we know the rest of the story but anyway he is just a normal swordsmen who is very skilled who as a swordsmen, and human being who killed many men, and wanted to repent for what he did, and do what's right but what bugs me is why is he considered samurai...I know some of this is kinda pointless but it explains what type of warrior he is.

he is not a samurai for he doen't serve any shoguns, daimyos or any feudal lords.

no... kenshin isn't a samurai... carying a samurai sword doesn't mean your a samurai... he's just a trained swordsman...
just like the american film "the last samurai"
it's just plain wrong... tom cruise isn't a samurai... he's also a trained swordsman just like kenshin... so "The last samurai" and "Samurai X" is not the fitting title for them...
