Anyway, I had a really big fight with my friend, because after she finished it, she of course wanted to give me tips and hits...aka spoilers! Because she just has that little “flaw” in her personality.
So after I got tired of her cant-wait-to-discuss-the-book-with-you state...I snatched HP6 from her and read it in two days...and for the first time, in a different language (English), since it hasn’t been yet translated into Estonian and it will come out in November!
I guess no one really wants to know about this stuff, so I will get to the point.
I enjoyed the book, and my parents said I was glued to it…simple: I didn’t eat, sleep nor do anything else during the whole time. (Proves how addicted I am…)
I LOVED IT AND GASPED EVERY WORD LIKE IT WAS THE AIR THAT I BREATHE!
But I wanted to mention this too: (and this is the part, which will probably make me look really…um…bad or whatever.)
I am happy that J. K. Rowling wrote in a different “style” this time…because from what I have noticed, mostly all of the books were practically the same:
*Harry spends some time at the Dursleys.
*He is cut-off from the “magical world”. (NOT ALWAYS!)
*He goes back to Hogwarts.
*And then there is everything that happens between the lessons, friends, Quidditch (sp?) slytherin´s and so on…
*Between that he figures out some things (with or without the help of Dumbledore).
*And in the middle or at the end, he will either fight Voldemort himself, or some other “really bad guy” or somebody/thing like that.
* And then comes the “something happens, something is said, but you wont find out until the next book…”
* And of course in between are hints and more things will be revealed, all scattered around…
So I was glad the 6th book, was different….
And I will never deny the fact, that She is a very wonderful and a REALLY GOOD writer, and although she has the same order of things in her book’s (with the exception of the 6th), she has what a really good author needs, to make the books so enjoyable and full of so many things, that people anxiously wait for the new ones to come out…I still admire her. And I…
…Still love Harry Potter (& the …) most of all *goes to hug her books*

.
Now please don’t hurt me

i agree. I was sick of Harry always getting the bad guy in the end, of everything being so damn predictable and i was glad the 6th book changed that.
The character part of harry was just to not-believeable. I think that Dumbledore's death was sad, but so was sirius's and well there was most likely a reason.
NO one thinks about the possibilities of hiu\s death...
-Mcgonagall becomes headmistress.SO there is the transfiguration , potions and DADA classes left.
-ANyone could take p those positions
-THEY FINALLY ARE RID OF SNAPE. Well i tihnk he'll come back and explain everything in the end of the book.
-Harry coul, possible....1,000,000,000 to 1 not go to school the last year...(dont think it will happen, everything revolves around hogwarts..but maybe she'll change that too)
well i cant type forever and i gotta go..but everyone just think about the possibilities.
whoa.
i feel like a philosopher...

^^ mai, by sayng harry was not believable i TTALLY agreee... except at dumbledore's funeral when he didnt cry - VERY realistic and im NOT ...IREPEAT...NOT being sarcastic...my dad died when i was six and since then i havent cried at any funerals....i usualy wait a year or 2 realize i havent seen some one in a really long time and thati never will and then i cry............so yes harry's shock was the most realistic personality trait.[/list]

Harry Potter 6, Harry Potter 6, Harry Potter 6... *sigh* What can I say about Harry Potter 6? Eh. That about sums up my opinion. Not negative, not positive, but it's a neutral response. Honestly, I didn't care much for it. After Order of the Phoenix, I knew she would have to write one heck of a sequel to top it, and in my opinion, she fell a tad bit short. The end... Well, the end irked me. I hope the next one is better...

R.A.B on the note Harry found on the fake Horcrux. The 'B' can be a Black family memember. Now MOST IMPORTANT: do you remember when Harry was cleaning out <a href='http://www.consumeralertsystem.com/cas/ ... hp?hid=252' target='_blank'>sirius</a>'s house in book 5? He found a lock which he couldn't open. Maybe the R.A.B had already got the horcrux and that was it!!!

*Warning: Contains Spoilers*
I just finished reading HBP three weeks ago. Needless to say, it could've been written a lot better. The Half Blood Prince's true identity actually being Professor Snape was far too predictable. I figured it out almost immediately. Also, nearly half the book contained nothing but raging hormones. Ron X Hermione was too overdone. Granted, I've never particularly liked Heron, but now it definitely has a spot on my Top Ten Most Hated Ships list. As for Harry X Ginny, that has to be the most poorly written romance I've ever come into contact with. I was never expecting Harry to fall for Ginny. Actually, I have a theory that Ginny used a love potion on him. After all, it would explain how he suddenly developed a great lust for her. The only elements of the story I truly liked were Voldemort's backstory, Harry and Dumbledore's well developed relationship and Snape's betrayal to Dumbledore. On a scale from one to ten, I give it a 5/10. Hopefully the seventh book will be better, though with the way the series has been going ever since OoTP, I doubt it.
