Trigun: Is it a good example of a physical journey?

Sorry guys, if this is somewhat of a repeat of what I said in the Wolf's Rain forum. Um, I've only seen the first ep of Trigun, but I was wondering if anyone knew if it was a good example of a physical journey. I need to have a look at quite a few texts for my English class, and well..."anime" and "education" seem to mix in very well. Let me know 
(Oh yeah, I live in Australia, but I don't have access to Cartoon Network. Most of my anime stuff comes from Madman, so I can't watch the pay TV verison. Sorry, didn't want to be rude)
