Absolute Anime

i would definatly say yes but i want to hear your oppinions as well. i mean the drawings can easily be considered art but the shows overall is what im asking about. I stil say yes because the director has some plan of where he wants the plot to go and its pretty hard to make the characters seem so real so my vote is definatly a yes.

Of course it's an art. If they can call a lot of drivel out there they call movies and paint splattered on canvas art, then anime can qualify as well.

It's all in the eyes of the beholder. People pay lots of money for paintings by Picaso, where as I wouldn't give a dime for any of it. It's all very subjective.

Art can be defined as any expression of human emotion, therefore, yes.

If you can say that a toilet bowl is a piece of art, then yes, you can say that a carefully and meticulously pieced together, timed, voiced, and written anime is, in fact, a piece of art.

yes, i definetly think that it's an art form. It steers emotion and is an expression of life.

Listen, now why would anime not be a form of art? Ask your self if you did not have your eyes all you would know is the story and plot, however you would still have you vivid imagination to make pictures for you. So the colorfull pictures and story are both forms of art because they come from within, so why ask this question? Pointless realy. If you did not know that anime is art should you be watching it? Most anime is not just another story to go back on when your bored, you keep coming back to anime for the art and to see what happens in the story line and the colorfull characters.
