ok in the anime profile it says that vash is a plantlike humanoid. In the rem profile it says that vash and knves were found on a remote planet and in the knives profile it said that vash and knives were born from an experiment. and them i have heard that vash and knives were found inside the ship just sitting there in the main power core and the crew took them out. which is it? They could be plants like the power plants that make the ship float in the episode where vash goes to his home. there was that lady inside the lightbulb and that might be the same as what vash and knives are.but if this is true then why are not vash and knives in a big light bulb? why were they allowed to roam the ship when they hung out with rem?

i heard that Vash was one of those things that were in those giant lightbulbs. it's obvious that they are something more then human. the seeds people didn't make them so they had to come from somewhere. i'd love to know where...so many questions unanswered by the show!!!

The show never truly elaborates on Vash and Knives' origins, but there were no experiments...at least not on the show...

Vash and Knives are indeed plants. The supercharged life forms seen in the giant light bulbs. There are a few indicators to this.

On an early episode, Vash calls a plant "sister"

Knives says that they are superior beings. that they are plants.

The boys grow at an accelerated rate.

The show never says, short answer they aren't humans, long answer Trigun otaku is probably right

Also, I checked the manga recently. The reason Knives' hair is dark in the front is:

Every time a plant uses power, it ages a little bit. Knives abuses and wastes his power controlling and destroying humans, that his hair has begun to darken. When a plant's hair turns black and falls out, they will die.

Vash needs his voice box removing.

Thats so completley wrong. They were made to be human-like plant experiments not clones

They are humanoid plant beings....

but they are called beings that exist outside of time,

or at least that's what they are called in one episode.

Vash is a sentient Plant, as is Knives
