Absolute Anime

I would like to announce that we are now taking pre-registrations for absoluteanime.com email accounts. Starting March 1st, 2006, users will be able to register for your username@absoluteanime.com email accounts. But before it's open to the public it's open those who visit these forums. Word of advice, get the good email addresses before they are gone.

What means this, as some might say it, is that if you want to be known as theo@absoluteanime.com, you can be. What do you need to do? You need to click this link http://home.primeexalia.com/anime_email/ and fill out the pre-registration information.

There is a yearly fee associated with the web site. For those who have contributed in the past, you can sign up now and your account will be activated when we go live. You know who you are...

You might be asking why it's not free. Ken has a little blurb on the page talking about the fees. But what will we do with the money you might ask. That's easy, we will continue to support the site and build out an even large infrastructure as well as building out the content of the site. The money will also ensure that any running cost of the site are met.

Just think of it this way, the email account is like a little stock option of the site. You own the email address based on the annual renew cycles.

But there's more. You will also get a web site. http://users.absoluteanime.com/username. That's right. Want a piece of the action then I'd act now.

Please note that this is pre-registration. The actual account will not be created until February 15th, 2006. At that point in time you will have the ability to finalize the registration.

You are only reserving the name now, not paying for it. When you come back what you want may be gone. We have already had a couple registrations in the first 8 hours.

wait im confused...if we register email, we are charged right?

but if we choose to keep our email as is, and still be members of aa, do we have to pay for aa use?

If you want an AA email account then yes, you will have to pay for it when the system becomes active (Feb 15th for pre-registrations, March 1st for the rest of the world). You can continue to use any email address you want for the purposes of the forums. But if you want an email addres on the forums then you will be charged.

But the reservation of the email address that you can do right now is free.

i still dont think i understand...lets say my email address is bob@aol.com and my aa username is animefanbob. as of march 15th or whatever it is, my email and username are stil the same...am i charged? or am i charged only if i register my email address to make it bob@absoluteanime.com?

i guess bob@aol.com is a real address...

One has nothing to do with the other. Your AA username is not linked with the AA email. We included that just for tracking purposes for the enrollment process.

If you registered your AA forum username with bob@aol.com it will continue to be bob@aol.com for purposes of notifications, etc.

We are just offering an additional service that will allow people to have custom email addresses @absoluteanime.com. If they later decided to use this over bob@aol.com that's fine. But you can use both at the same time.

I'm SO confused!!!!! My head hurts too much thinking this over and over again trying to figure it out. Ok so if you pre-register you wont get charged? Or will you get chrged no matter what?
