Finally! Someone who's actually qualified!
I'm gonna wait a while before stating my obvious answer however.

Hm...

I believe you have all those excellent things under your belt, hands down, no problem. It's also good for a Mod to have past experiences as a moderator and outside-field expertise (though I'm not saying those who became a Mod and wasn't one before aren't good at their jobs since this forum is still here).

The only hitch I have for my opinion is that you are, of course, new to the site. You've only been here for about 4 days (to date of my post). Each forum around the world wide web is different from the other in a lot of ways, so one can't really just jump the gun and apply off hand to being a moderator.

What I'm suggesting is that you wait a little more. Get a more comfy feel for the Absolute Anime Forum and watch the Mods in what they can or can't do. As you know, they can't delete posts or threads (if you read the "Read Me First" thread three rows down from the top). I may be a Super Admin for a forum that I help moderate for a friend, but the doo-hickys here takes a bit out of my time getting use to (even now...lol).

The thread in "Read Me First", states that if you're applying to becoming a Mod, you must notify your friends here to help make your application stronger. Mods need to be friendly with the Absolute Anime citizens too, and the more people like you, the better your chances will be at getting the position.

If not for the things I've stated, I'd say "hell yeah!"

For now, though, I'm going to have to go with "Perhaps"...though I accidently put "No Opinion" so I apologize greatly for that.

No opinion until later. I dont know you and you dont know this forum enough to be moderator yet in my opinion. Good references though. You should atleast hang around for 1-2 months (minimum) and then try again.

So then...until later.

I think that, with a few more posts to go off, and a more sturdy application, this should go well. You seem to have the right prerequisites.

Could you possibly tell me the other forum you are maintaining so I can check it out?

No offence, but I'd have to see you moderating a board with more members and alot more activity to think that you have experience in moderating forums.

You seem qualified, yes, but forum upkeep on a large board like this one would be a difficult challenge. Would you have the time to come here often? And if you did, would you have the time to check out all or most the new post that have been made since the last time you came? It's not just conflicts you have to deal with, you have to have an eye for spammed up threads too. You'd also have to be ready to explain things to newbies, and sometimes, that's a difficult task. And also, you'd have to be able to set a fine example for the forum community when you post. People scrutinize mods, sometimes if it seems that you've made even the smallest mistake, you'd be blatantly bombarded by members. Though otherwise, mods are still subjected to critisism. (*remembers how the mods were treated on the Adult Swim Message Boards*)

Would you be ready to handle the job of being a Moderator?

I don't know why that is, but every board I go to the mods are always first to be blamed when something happens. "The Mods could have prevented this" or "The Mods could have done something", is always the number one phrase. That, or, "The Mods suck."
