Absolute Anime

Why did they do that? Why did they license that anime?

Well, from what I heard, One Piece is one of the top grossing animes in Japan. So, it could be that they just got it to up the profits, because they figuored kids would really like it in america. But one thing they didn't count on was the content, so they dumbed it down to the 6-11 demographic and completely [censored] up the story line and also cut out 37 episodes. The Ironic thing is, is that One Piece got bad ratings on 4kidstv, partly because of the butchering they did to it. And more Ironic, is the fact that One Piece, even after the butchering, is consider 4kids' most violent show.


I don't even really care anymore, as far as I'm concerned, the 4kids "One Piece" is a completely different show. In which, I give it the title: "Once Peace."

I hate them they really killed One Piece. ONE PIECE ISN'T AND WILL NEVER BE 4KIDS!!

They licensed it because there evil bastards who destroy everything they touch ... but im not bitter

Seconded... The opening theme for the 4kids version is hella retarded too. And some people even say that we only like the original because we think it makes us sound more Japanese (how [censored] up is that?)

I have seen the orignal. I'm okay with the dub, because unlike others on the net, I can get over my feelings.

I've only seen the 4Kids version but now I want to see the origional one bad!!! It sounds so much better!

Well, I can't get over my feelings, because I have so much love for One Piece. I am a die-hard fan of One Piece, I can never get over what 4shame has done to One Piece.

Impossible... Nobody except people who have never seen the original will ever forgive 4Kids for what they did to One Piece.

Yeah... I watched the dub first, but I only got like 20 seconds into the opening before turning off the TV and I almost barfed. I thought, "Is this really the great One Piece that my friends online told me about?" But then, I watched the sub and fell in love, and I will never forgive 4KIDS.

37..episodes!!! I hated the dub BEFORE knowing that i hate it more now..and as to why they're evil bastards who take delight in watching us writhe in pain as our favorite anime get butchered by thier "blood doesn't exist sex is taboo and good voice actors don't exist" attidude toward anime they grab the most popular anime then kill it pass it off as the same thing when it doesn't deserve to share the same name as the orginal..yeah I dream of a world where 4kids doesn't exist and all anime is dubbed well
