is it just me or did FLCL just give up on the manga. the anime is sweet but way did they screw up the manga soooooo much?

i've never read the manga,but the show was cool.

I liked the manga, even though it was only 2 books. It was rather neat to me.

huh? but was'nt the show least 20 something episode's long? how can they get all that from 2 book's?

The show is only 6 OVA episodes. The manga might have came first but that didn't mean it both have to be exactly alike.
I think the FLCL anime was just an extension and gave room for more things to be added on.
