I wanted to strangle Gaara while watching that episode (though I know I'd be dead before I even got close). Grrr, Gaara . . .

Got to feel sorry for Gaara though....
It seems nearly all the male characters have a tragic Past...

I do feel sorry for him, but not so much right now. I like Rock Lee better than Gaara. That part at the end where Rock Lee (out of a reflex) stood up made me so sad.

Throughout the whole episode, I honestly wanted to destroy Gaara. Well, except for that one part when Gai stepped in and he told Gaara that Rock Lee was precious to him. Then all these picture popped up in the background and broke like glass. That was kinda sad because Gaara doesn't really understand the concept of caring.

Not all have depressing lives. And, although I want to say you have to strive for happiness, some things leave deep scars that never go away. Children are very impressionable and Gaara was a child when many terrible things happened to him. Rock Lee didn't have a childhood as bad as Gaara, but I imagine he must've felt lonely as well because everyone teased him. Rock Lee tried his hardest to prove to the world that you didn't have to have any special talents or whatever to be a strong person. That's what makes him so amazing.

Yeah I agree I really wasn't picking him over Lee I just think its un fair to go picking on Gaara!! Rock Lee had a pretty bad past just cause he wasn't a shinobi!! I think I end up feeling sorry for everyone its really hard to choose when they all look so cute when the were little and they were all going through hell!!

I'm sorry if I was picking on Gaara, but I am a Rock Lee fangirl. And a Rock Lee fangirl isn't going to cheer for Gaara as he's crushing his arm and leg with his sand.
And they did look so very cute when they were little! Aw, Gaara looked so adorable! Rock Lee more so, but still. The cuteness was strong in both of them!
