Absolute Anime

I wanted to know the meaning of the name 'Rikiishi'.
The only time I've heard it is in the anime series 'Ashita No Joe'. It was the main character Joe Yabuki's main rival, Rikiishi Toru.

The kanji for "rikiishi" 力石, literally means "strong stone" or "hard rock" or something to that effect

You have to understand that translating names is a tricky business, as many names have more than one meaning
