MKV Files

Ok, so it's not about the forum but that's ok cause...So anyway, I have this problem with some spawn episodes I downloaded. No matter what program i try to run them with (Windows Media Player, Quicktime, Ares, Real Player, DivX, MediaHub) it denyes me of my watching privlidges. So I figured I would check out what i need to watch this MKV File. And I found out I need some Matroska Splitter program to watch them. So I downloaded it (two versions I think) and I still got nothing. If anyone has any clue what do to then Ithat would be sweet.
