that depends.is Trunks in a transformed state?or is he normal.if he powered up all the way to super Saiyan 2,then he would barely defeat Piccolo,and thats only if we're talking about Future Trunks,of course.

yah, Piccolo is one of the strongest fighters, and yeah. Kid trunks would have a realy hard time beating him, especialy since Piccolo fused with Kami, unless you are talking about the previous Piccolo, which in that case, he'd prolly still win. Regenarative abilities are nice

Though, if it was a let-loose thing, Since trunks is a saiyan, he COULD win, if he figured out how to use all the power of a saiyan.

Trunks cannot ascend to Super Saiyan 2. The highest he is shown to reach is Ultra Super Saiyan. But still that should have more than enough power to defeat Piccolo. In fact, even in Trunks' ASSJ he could defeat Piccolo considering Piccolo couldnt defeat Cell (w/17) while ASSJ Vegeta was more than able to defeat him (as Trunks had also reached ASSJ) and since USSJ Trunks was stronger than Perfect Cell (but not by too much) although too slow to do anything with that power

You are half true, if trunks laned a good hit on piccolo it would do allot of damage. but geting piccolo is the matter.
