I think this is annoying, Allow me to voice my opinion on this: "You cannot make another search so soon after your last; please try again in a short while."



This message comes up more than once, quite frequently actually and it reminds me of gaia's lousy pm system. You know the bit where it says: "Please wait 2 or more minutes before pming your next friend". I know it helps the site out by making it somewhat faster but I believe the site ran just fine a year or 2 ago without this MESSAGE. I like to browse speedy not get slowed down by some retarded messege. Thats just my opinion.

I didn't change any settings that would affect that, so if it's happening now then it should have also been happening two years ago. You kind of make it sound like you get this message while browsing, and not necessarily when searching. Is that true? If so, can you elaborate?

Sure can Ken, It happens when I click on "View your posts" button in my profile, it does not happen all the time but frequently if I look at my posts to much
it gives me that messege telling me I have to wait..It never did that last year.

I just went in and changed the search interval from 15 seconds to 5 seconds. I don't know what it was last year, but I don't ever recall changing that number. Perhaps it got changed during one of the phpBB updates.
