Absolute Anime

Yes, it's all over the net by now.
I've heard many things about it and I'm not happy with some of it.

Agreed. I hate the reappearance of sexually ambiguous male leads, as well as the plot, which seems to be following on the lines of Dancougar Nova and Gundam Seed/Wing, having the lead characters in a separate faction preventing war. And the Gundams were described as high tech weapons, designed to cut through armies. It seems as if the show is Gundam Wing 2.0.

The show does have some relatively interesting mech designs, and also has a good director and crew, so it still could turn out reasonably well. But that's a long shot, I really don't like what I've heard of the plot and characters as of now.

thats real odd because in my NEWTYPE mag. it says that Yoshiyuki Tomino wasnt making anymore gundam.

haha lol only good thing about seed were the battles... compar seed and wing, everything is so much slower without cgi

Its right. Tomino hasn't directed a Gundam anime since 1999's Turn A Gundam. It has a different director.

All I know that the character designer for this is the same from the anime "Loveless"

Considering how bad GSD was, that really isn't saying much.

Why is it that the series that started the Real Robot genre is slowing becoming more Uber Robot with each new Gundam series? It all started with G Gundam, Gundam X was a step back to real robots after Wing. But the stylizations and plot armor of Seed and GSD just bring it back to the Uber robot again, and Gundam 00 seems to seal it.

Gundam isn't being Gundam any more. Looks like I can only depend on AT Votoms to remain real robot now.
