ya no how there are no real animals in pokemon there are only pokemon. well on the pokedex it says pikachu is the electric mouse pokemon but how do the people in pokemon no what a mouse even is because there are only pokemon and no mice

there are real animals in pokemon I saw some exotic fish in one episode.

They are based on animals if you think about it. Thats why the demon known as 4kids cut this episode that involved flocks Pidgey and Spearow fighting each other, and the trainers that fought their Spearow against other Spearow. Supposedly, they resemble some type of chicken, and they didn't want their kids learning about cockfights or something :/

4kids is gay..they screw up everything

Pidgy is based off a bird
Pikachu is meant to be a mouse lol
Ekans is based off a snake.

Vulpix is kinda fox like. As close as Pikachu is to a mouse anyway
