Absolute Anime

I always wondered, what came first, the FLCL manga or the anime?
Because I read the manga shortly after I saw the anime on TV and I just thought that if you hadn't seen the anime you wouldn't understand a thing they were saying.
^^;;;

I'm not sure which came first with FLCL, but normally there's a manga first, then the anime. I'm guessing that the manga came first, and they added onto the anime to help people better understand the story since the manga were hard to read.

But that's just my best guess.

Dude there's a manga?? I MUST HAVE IT!!

As far as wikipedia can say, the anime came before the manga.
