FanSUB means fan subtitling, fanDUB is when you double it into another language. I don't like dubs much but I LOVE subs. (ironically i do dubs and subs with my cousins -portuguese/english)

Vampire Knight does to vampires what William Hung does to taste and music.

Real vampires aren't romantic bishies. Vampire myths originated from gargoyles and were ugly-ass, deformed, evil, zombie-like creatures.

aw come on! it's nice to see something else done with vampires for a change. i mean, pretty much all vampire stories are the same "i'll kill you and suck your blood." the end

true, and actually Gyro, the earliest vampire legends where the creatures were actually know as vampires refers to the "seductive creatures of the darkness" with monstrous true forms but natural human beauty to bait their victims. Dracula himself is an example of that (in the original legends) even though he was portrait as an ungly bizare man, the original legends speak of him as a seducer (along with his brides).

Anyway, it's a interesting manga, vamps with pretty faces but 80% time with very ugly hearts.
I really want to see the anime!!!!

Before Bram Stoker they were hideous ghoulish beasts. Even in human forms they were ugly as sin (like Nosferatu). Dracula was the first legend to portray them as seducers

Actually, the REAL Dracula from Hungary had nothing to do with vampires. Somehow people started associating him with them. Something like him and girls (like Tenshi said) but in Hungary, he's regarded as a hero and Hungarians are insulted when other countries make him into a monster. But the first real vampire was some lady who was really creepy. She hit one of her servants one day and got some of her servants blood on her hand and that's how it all started. She "realized" (more like imagined) that the blood made her skin look younger so she started "luring" young virgins into her castle to be her servant but she ended up killing them, draining their blood, and bathing in it. Pretty gruesome hu? (I can't remember the woman's name but she was also Hungarian) sometimes being part hungarian worries me...

His name was Vlad Tepes. And he was Romanian, not Hungarian.

As with all legends and myths it then got blown out of proportion, combined with other legends, etc and became a monster myth
